Mite players must meet two requirements to be eligible to play:

1. Mite Players must have a birth date on and between: 6/1/2014 - 5/31/2019. Players having a birth date on or before 5/31/2014, must register as a Squirt Traveling or 10U Traveling Player.
    
2. Player must live within the boundaries of the Apple Valley High School or Burnsville High School attendance areas.

   Waivers of Minnesota Hockey residency requirements and for open enrollment in AVHA/BHS feeder schools must be sought from the appropriate home association before registering with AVBHA.

Mini-mite 1 (MM1) 

• Skill level: 1st year skaters

• Grade level: Pre-K and Kindergarten  *Born before 5/31/19*

Mini-mite 2 (MM2)

• Skill level: 2nd year skaters

• Grade level: 1st grade

Mite Minor

• Skill level: 3rd year skaters

• Grade level: 2nd grade

Mite Major

• Skill level: 4th and 5th year skaters

• Grade level: 3rd grade

Sort of knows how to skate

• player can stand up on the ice, move around, and get back up

• Pre-K through 1st Grade (MM1)

• 2nd through 3rd Grade (MM2)

Can skate but has never played hockey

• Pre-K through 2nd Grade (grade level)

• 3rd Grade (Mite Minor)
