Celebrating Leila Korkowski's Hockey Journey!
We're thrilled to announce Leila Korkowski's incredible achievements representing AVB, D8 Hockey, and MN Hockey! After her stellar performance with the D8 Moose team in last fall's MN HP 14U league, she's set to shine in the 2024 USA Hockey 14U National Tournament. Leila's journey from the 15UA Valkyries season to the 14U HP Moose showcases her exceptional talent, leadership, and determination. District 8 encompasses 14 associations, and players residing in the district but attending school elsewhere are eligible to try out. Notably, 9 out of the 34 players who made the 15U Girls team, 6 out of the 34 players who made the 14U Girls team, and 3 out of the 34 players who made the 14U Boys team are from AVB. Over 50 kids tried out at each level, showcasing the remarkable talent within our association. We're incredibly proud to see our players competing at such a high level.
The CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance programs aim to identify and nurture the top players aged 14-18 in Minnesota, providing them with opportunities to showcase their skills against the best in the state. Visit Minnesota Hockey High Performance for more information.
