AVB Hockey is offering multiple post-secondary education scholarships to this year's senior class at AVHS and BHS. The board of directors have approved a scholarship fund and appointed a scholarship committee. The intention is to grant scholarships to as many former players as possible.
Scholarship Eligibility, Requirements and Guidelines
Applicants must be a senior in good standing at Apple Valley High School or Burnsville High School.
Applicants must have been an active member of AVHA, BHC or AVBHA and been a traveling player with sanctioned teams (Eagles, Valkyries, or Firehawks) for at least two seasons. Applicants do not have to be active at the time of application.
Applicants must have a minimum of 2.7 cumulative high school GPA (based on 4.0 scale)
Applicants must submit a transcript stating GPA with his/her application. Transcripts must indicate cumulative grade point average.
Applicants must submit an application form to the scholarship committee by the deadline of May 31, 2024.
The scholarship committee will determine scholarship recipients and amounts awarded.
The award is intended to be used during the traditional academic year (fall through spring), and for academic purposes such as tuition, fees, room, board, and/or books.
Awards will be one time payments made payable to the educational institute. Scholarships are forfeited if not used by March 31 of the following year (for example, 2024 winners must submit for payment by Mar 31 2025).
Decisions of the AVB Hockey scholarship committee are final.

Attention AVBHA Families! It's that time of year again - Elementary School Carnival Season! What's in it for you? An exciting chance for your kids to showcase their passion for hockey with their classmates! AVBHA will be hitting up our AVHS feeder elementary schools, hosting games, dishing out prizes, and spreading the word about hockey and how to join in on the fun. But wait, we need your assistance! Reach out to Ginger to learn more about how you can pitch in (DIBS will be tallied and rewarded accordingly), or if you're interested in leading the charge at your child's elementary school. Let's make these carnivals a blast for everyone!

Check out this fantastic program put together by our neighbors in Lakeville! They're launching a girls AAA program, specifically targeting B level players for quality coaching and development. The clinic welcomes players born between 2012-2015, offering them a great chance to hit the ice and enhance their skills.
