INTRO TO HOCKEY KICKS OFF THIS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21
We're gearing up for an exciting start to Intro to Hockey this Saturday, and there's still time to join!

About the Program:
Intro to Hockey is the perfect opportunity for kids who are new to the sport or aren't quite ready to commit to a full season. It’s designed for beginners who’ve never been on the ice before and want to experience hockey in a fun, no-pressure way.
Starting Saturday, September 21st, and running for four consecutive Saturdays, the program offers an affordable way to try hockey—just $50 for the entire session. AVBHA will even provide gear to get participants started!
What’s Next?
After the four sessions end on October 12th, families can decide whether they want to continue into the 2024-2025 season. If your player loves it, they get to keep the gear, and their first-year registration fee is covered! If not, no worries—just return the equipment, and we're glad they gave it a shot.

BOYS HS GOLF TOURNEY THIS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21
Are you READY? WE ARE! Join us for a day of fun at the AVHS/BHS Boys Hockey Golf Tournament THIS Saturday, Sept 21, 2024, at Crystal Lake Golf Club. The event features a shotgun start, on-course contests, an awards ceremony, lunch, and a raffle.
• Time: 11:00 am Check-In, 12:30 pm Shotgun Start
• Registration Fee: $175 Single Golfer | $600 Foursome | $50 Lunch Only
• Includes: Cart, 18 holes of golf, on-course games, and dinner
• Grand Prize: $10,000 for an ace on any par 3!

These meetings aren’t just any meetings—they're your chance to get introduced to the amazing Fortis team as we partner again to help develop our athletes, strengthen our community, and take things to the next level.

PARENT MEETING: 6:30-7:30
FOR ALL MITE/SQUIRT/NEW FAMILIES
AVBHA will be hosting an informational parent seminar to discuss hockey development principles and how parents can effectively navigate the youth sports culture. Topics will include training volume, windows of trainability, common hockey myths, leadership and character development. At least one parent from each family should plan to attend this important event.
COACHES MEETING: 7:45-8:45
FOR ALL MITE, SQUIRT, 10U, AND 1ST/2ND-YEAR COACHES
A coaches meeting will be held for all Mite and traveling team coaches, following the parent meeting. Learn coaching essentials, from practice principles to skill development priorities. Teams should coordinate for as many coaches as possible to attend, at a minimum at least one coach per team.

AVWH EAGLES SOCIAL OCTOBER 5
Join us at the Apple Valley Women's Hockey Social on Saturday, October 5 at Panino Brother’s in Apple Valley for a day of camaraderie, raffles, and fun.
