Brandon’s unmatched skills, patience, and teaching ability make every off-ice session both super effective and a ton of fun for our young players. Boo! Halloween is creeping up, and we’ve got some thrilling events planned to celebrate! We need your help to make these festivities a smashing success, so don’t forget those candy donations and volunteers to join in the fun. If you’re interested in helping out or tossing some candy our way, reach out to Ginger!
Candy Donations:
Donations (10 pounds of candy for two DIBS credits) can be dropped off at AVTC this Wednesday, October 23, between 5-7 PM.
DIBS are also available for Saturday's event if you’d like to join us and help hand out candy or assist with the fun!
Here’s what’s brewing this Halloween:
Apple Valley: October 26: Trunk-or-Treat, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Apple Valley Aquatics Center parking lot
Join the Apple Valley Police Department for their 4th annual Trunk or Treat! Swing by the AV Family Aquatic Center for a morning of spooky treats and fun.
Burnsville: October 27: Halloween Skate, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM at the Burnsville Ice Center
Cost: FREE (with $5 skate rentals available)
Get your shivers on at the Halloween Skate Party! Enjoy trick-or-treating, open skating, and chances to win prizes at this family-friendly event.

Hey Managers, don’t forget—there’s a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, October 30th at 6 PM at the Apple Valley Community Center!
Join us for a session packed with valuable info, tips for managing your team, and team iPad distribution. This meeting will set you up for a smooth and successful season, so make sure to be there!

STAY IN THE LOOP WITH YOUR TEAM SCHEDULE
Team schedules are managed by the team managers, so if you’re unable to access your athlete’s schedule, you may need to request that your manager add you to the list. In SportsEngine, you can view the schedule in real time, send messages, and manage your athlete and family information. Don’t forget—it's important to RSVP to every practice, game, and event on your athlete's behalf. This helps coaches plan practices and manage events smoothly. Make sure you stay up-to-date and connected with your team!

TRY HOCKEY FOR FREE 11/2 - INVITE YOUR FRIENDS
We’re excited to welcome you and your friends to our Try Hockey for Free event at AVSA on Saturday, November 2, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM! This is a fantastic opportunity for kids aged 4 to 9 to dive into the exciting world of hockey—absolutely FREE!

MAKE SURE TO FINISH YOUR VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION & SAFESPORT CERTIFICATION BEFORE YOU CLAIM YOUR DIBS
Attention all volunteers! Whether you're a Locker Room Monitor, Team Manager, Coach, or filling any other volunteer role, it's essential to complete your Volunteer Registration before your first shift. This includes anyone signing up to fill DIBS! Make sure to register at:
www.avbhockey.com/volunteerregistration.
Additionally, if you're planning to claim any DIBS that involve working with or being in the same room as our athletes, you must have an up-to-date SafeSport certification. This applies to all volunteers, including coaches, managers, and locker room monitors, etc... SafeSport certification is required by USA Hockey and must be renewed annually. Don’t delay—get certified today:
