Try Hockey for Free event is designed to provide BOYS & GIRLS, ages 4 to 9 the opportunity to try hockey in a FUN, safe environment with trained coaching staff.

No experience necessary! There will be plenty of assistance on hand to be sure your child has the best first hockey experience and answer any questions you might have.

TIPS FOR TRY HOCKEY FOR FREE

TIME: Try hockey starts at 2:30am; please plan to arrive at the rink at least 30 minutes prior for check-in and to be fitted with equipment.

What to bring: We encourage those who have access to equipment, to please bring it. If you do not have any equipment, you will still need to bring:

  • Skates (if you have them - otherwise they will be available to rent)
  • A helmet (any kind of protective helmet(bike, ski, etc...) will work)
  • A pair of gloves (they don’t need to be hockey gloves- mittens are fine)
  • A loose-fitting pair of sweatpants or snow pants
  • A loose-fitting sweatshirt or jersey
  • A Smile

What will be provided: We have a limited amount of equipment available for you to borrow, and the arena does rent skates. If you have any equipment questions, please let us know.

ON-ICE EXPERIENCE: We will have plenty of coaches on hand to give your child a great youth hockey experience, they will get an opportunity to learn the basic skills of youth hockey and enjoy their first game.
