STEP 1: Register with USA Hockey as a coach or volunteer - You will be provided with a USA Hockey registration number.  You will need this number to complete Step 2, 3 & 4.

STEP 2: Register for a  Background Check through USA Hockey.  Background checks are needed every two years.  The results will take up to 2 weeks and we cannot add you to a roster until it is complete.

STEP 3:  Complete your Safesport Training.  NOTE: As of July 2019, Safesport must be completed every year. 

STEP 4: Complete the AVBHA Volunteer Registration [Click Hyperlink to complete Registration]

STEP 5: Coaches must complete the appropriate USA Hockey Age Specific Module PRIOR to participating with a team or being placed on a roster.

STEP 6: Coaches must complete coaching certifications through the Coaching Education Program (CEP).  CEP requirements must be completed by December 31.  Mite coaches may have an expired CEP, but all other coaches must renew if necessary.  There will be no opportunity to renew after 12/31.
